Passive church in Nowe Miasto, Poznań
The main concept of the project is to design the church complex as a mix of the sacral, public and the private spaces. Hence, in one cube we can find the church library, sport hall, coffee bar, relax zone and flats for priests. This design philosophy allow to reduce the space and energy and what is not less important allow tenants to use the large green area around the church.
In front of the church stands the tower that resembles the Italian Campanella.
The shape of the church is approximately an ideal cube to have the best A/V aspect ratio. Building is designed to use passive cooling systems.
