Sketches from Bratislava
Below, there are presented urban sketches made during my visit in Bratislava 1st to 11th of August 2019.
Hotel Kyjev
Hotel Kiev is located on the border of historical center of Bratislava, we can consider this urban concept as a buffer between new and old part of the city, the complex was built in 1970 in Slovakia communist aesthetics. Today the main tower is abandoned, and it was repainted during Bratislava Street Art  Festival 20, it is the biggest mural in the country.
St. Michael's Tower
The building was a northern Bratislava medieval gate and was a part of defensive wall complex (built about 1300). This, what we can admire today is a result of baroque reconstruction made in 1758. When I was sketching this I was standing on the bridge above the dried water moat.
Primate's Square
Square was built between 1778 1781. In its southern part we can admire Primate's palace designed in the classical order
Church of the Annunciation
Bratislava's oldest church, founded in the 1200s & restored in the 1700s with opulent baroque decor.
Church of the Elevation of the Holy Cross
Built in Gothic style, The church consists of a single-nave, four-arch corpus and four-arch presbytery, closed on three sides. The picture depicts a tower, added at the southwestern corner of the building, the tower is built on the rectangle plan in the lower part while it ends with pentagon above.  It is covered with a pyramidal stone helmet topped with a pinnacle.
Primate's Palace
The Primate's Palace  is a neoclassical palace in the Old Town of Bratislava the capital of Slovakia. It was built from 1778 to 1781 for Archbishop József Batthyány, after the design of architect Melchior Hefele.
St. Martin's Cathedral

UFO Observation Deck
The bridge has a length of 430 m and height of 95 m. The UFO Observation Deck's Dome has a diameter of 32 m. When the weather is good from the deck we can see even Vienna.
